"The beauty of the images moves me to contemplation, as  a meadow delights the eyes and subtly infuses the soul with the glory of God."

About This Site...

This website was created by Richard Gross to serve as a electronic publication through which he can make his essays on the various aspects of liturgical art available to any who might benefit from them. Richard is a theologian trained in the Catholic intellectual tradition who studies the role of art and architecture in the modern Church in the context of the teaching of the Magisterium and in relation to its traditional role within the Church.

Richard believes that the proper role of art and architecture is in service to the greater goal of the Church and that art and architecture that advance the Christian mission in the world merits inclusion within the Church.
